Garden Habitats

Edible Garden and Cooking Curriculum

The goal of our edible education curriculum is to empower students with the knowledge and values to make food choices that are healthy for them, their communities, and the environment. The lessons are fully integrated into academic subjects and support content standards, Common Core State Standards, and Next Generation Science Standards. At the same time, they are designed to achieve a specific set of edible education learning goals (which we refer to as ESY standards) and life skills, such as communication, personal and community stewardship, flexibility, and perseverance.

Native Habitat Garden

The Native Habitat Garden is an area in our that comprises of plants that are indigenous to the southern California region. Fish and Wildlife and Earth Discovery Institute provided the plants and guided the planting.
